Well that was epic! The festival is packed away and the field is tidy, it's all over for the 10th year. It has been a roller-coaster of a decade organising Hamswell and an absolute honour as well, we have made so many life long friends along the way and some of us have new family members too. Obviously huge thanks to the Wharton family for once again letting us run it in their back garden. But an even huger thanks to anyone who ever came down to help set up the festival over the last 10 years. Those who worked the gate, served on the bar, covered first aid shifts, cooked for the crew, sparkies, chippies, engineers who covered the sound desks, drove equipment and artists all over the country, the bands, DJs, poets, VJs, artists and performers, litter pickers and those troopers who stayed and helped take it all down at the end. We can't possibly list you all but we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And last but no way least, you, Hamswellians.
Thank you for coming, for braving the wind and rain on a few of the years and for trekking up and down that freaking hill every year! We've said it before and will never stop saying it; you guys are Hamswell Festival. We put up the tents and install the sound systems, but it's you guys that bring the party. We would be nothing without you, so thank you for bringing your love, commitment and all out shenanigans to us year after year. All our love.
